Frequently asked questions.
Q. What types of people purchase invisible ppf’s?
A. The Car Enthusiast- those who take every pain
to keep their car looking fit for a showroom.
The Commuter- those who frequently drive the freeways,
(where most rock chip damage occurs) and want to
keep their car from getting chipped up.
The Realist- those who understand that their car
is going to spend its whole life eating rocks and debris fed to them
by other drivers, and see value in protecting their investment from the
harsh elements of daily driving.
Those who don’t take care of their car usually don’t
purchase invisible paint protection film.
Q. Will the film harm the paint when it is removed?
A. No. If the film is properly applied to properly
cured paint, it can be completely removed without
any damage.
Q. Does the film stick to plastic?
A. Yes
Q. How is Paint Protection Film maintained?
A. It is important not to wash the car for 48
hours after the film is applied to allow the film
to adhere to the paint completely. Washing the film from that point
on presents no problem.
The film is susceptible to hand and automated
car washes.
Q. How is the film removed?
A. The film is removed simply by pulling up a
corner of the film and pulling up at a forty five degree angle from
the painted surface. If any adhesive is left on the paint, remove with
any type of adhesive remover that is safe to be used on painted surfaces.
Q. Clear Bra?
A. Yes one of paint protection film's many names. Both Clear Bra and Paint Protection Film (PPF) are used synonymously, and refer to the same thing: the most practical, surest, attractive, responsible, no-brainer, technologically advanced, unparalleled, efficient way to protect your investment!
Q. Can you see a line where the film stops?
A. Yes the line will be barely visible to ones
vision (on the “complete coverage” kit), and at
certain angles and lighting will be virtually
invisible. On “Bumper, Full, and Premium Coverage”
kits there are no visible lines.
Q. Will the paint fade differently under the film
than the rest of the car?
A. No. The film is OEM approved and contains special
UV inhibitors to prevent the film from discoloring
due to the sun’s rays. However the film also allows
a certain amount of rays to filter through the
film and onto the paint to help the paint of your
car age evenly.
Q. Will the film stop rocks from chipping my car?
A. Yes. The film was originally designed to stop
rocks and dirt from chipping helicopter blades.
The film is resilient to most common road debris
that your car will face.
Q. How hard is it to see the film on a car once
it is applied?
A. The film is 99% clear. On a dark car the film
is virtually invisible, and on a white car .5%
of the film is visible due to the adhesive.
